PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip supporting tunnel construction method which decreases ground subsidence and excavates inside of the tunnel while easily forming a tunnel lining. SOLUTION: A tip supporting tunnel construction method is comprised of a stage for excavating a drift 21 in a large cross-section tunnel, a stage for radially forming drilling holes 22 to dispose tip supporting members at multiple positions in the drift 21, a stage for grouting after inserting the tip supporting members to the radial drilling holes 22 which have been formed in the above stage, a stage for pressing and fixing by fastening a bearing plate and a fixture after binding the steel ribs each other, by disposing an arch-shaped steel rib in a traveling direction while excavating the tunnel and by disposing steel plates between the multiple steel ribs, after disposing piping roofs which are located at equal intervals in a lateral direction of the large cross-section tunnel in the traveling direction of the tunnel, and a stage for placing a short cleat between the piping roofs and the steel plates.
