PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system capable of increasing the treatment speed by causing active species such as radicals generated by electric discharge to efficiently act on water to be treated. SOLUTION: In the water treatment system, the water to be treated is vertically injected as water droplets from a plurality of injection holes 72a of an injection nozzle into an electric discharge space generated by applying a high voltage between a cylindrical electrode and a linear electrode arranged along the central axis of the cylindrical electrode. In addition, the plurality of injection holes 72a are arranged in such a pattern that in any horizontal cross section of the cylindrical electrode, any virtual line L starting from the central axis of the cylindrical electrode, passing through the vertically projected position of any one of the injection holes 72a onto the horizontal cross section and reaching the inner wall surface of the cylindrical electrode does not pass through the projected position of another of the injection holes 72a.
