PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of washing an electro-osmotic dehydrator, allowing an operator to wash its electrodes disposed in its electro-osmotic dehydration section without dismantling the same. SOLUTION: The electro-osmotic dehydrator includes an endless conveyer belt 1, composed of a filter cloth, endlessly suspended between rollers 2, 3, and endlessly turnably disposed along the upper face of a cathode 4; a plurality of anode units 21 to 25 disposed in the conveying direction of the conveyer belt 1; and a plurality of anode plates 33 each disposed on the lower face of the respective anode units 21 to 25. The method of washing the electro-osmotic dehydrator includes compressing a sponge 10 impregnated with a washing liquid, between the anode 4 and the respective anode units 21 to 25 successively.
