PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for lifting and lowering a pool floor, which enables the pool floor to be installed in a part of a pool, which has a relatively simple structure, and which can accurately lift and lower the pool floor with the floor keeping horizontal. SOLUTION: The pool floor 2, which is composed of a flooring material equipped with an air chamber, floats up onto a water surface by buoyancy. A rotating drive shaft 3 using a motor as a driving source is arranged on the bottom 1a of the pool; a roller chain 7 is looped over a sprocket 6 which is fixed at a proper interval to the drive shaft 3; one end of the roller chain 7 is connected to the pool floor 2; and the other end thereof is elongated by being guided along the bottom of the pool by the guide rail 9. The roller chain 7 is pulled downward by the unidirectional rotation of the rotating drive shaft 3; and the pool floor 2 is lifted by the action of the buoyancy by the reverse rotation of the rotating drive shaft 3, while being lowered against the action of the buoyancy.
