<p>The invention relates to a 4-cycle internal combustion engine using water as fuel, instead of gasoline or gas-oil. The claimed engine can be made on a compression-ignition engine block, the operation thereof requiring water decomposition into hydrogen and oxygen with an amount of energy of less than 57.8 kcal/mole, which can be made by using coke of a grain size of 50...75μm as a catalyst, which is brought into the intake manifold of an auxiliary valve (34) of the engine tank by means of a positive displacement pump, wherefrom the coke is sucked into a cylinder (48), upon opening of some valves (34 and 25), and due to the compression to which it is subjected therein, it reaches a temperature range of 650...675°C, when water is injected as very fine drops by an injector (23), the injection being achieved by means of a diffuser having four very small holes, the injection being followed by the electric sparking produced by the two sparking plugs which ignite the detonating gas, after which the expansion takes place and the piston moves to the outer dead centre, when the unique motor cycle takes place, after which a discharge valve (17) is opened and the water vapour together with the coke in the cylinder (48) are discharged into an outlet manifold (18) and, further on, to the cyclone separator where the coke is recovered into the tank and the water vapour being discharged into the atmosphere, this non-polluting engine using the coke only as a catalyst to help water decomposition into hydrogen and oxygen with only 21.6 kcal/mole instead of 57.8 kcal/mole, the remaining 36.2 kcal/mole being available to be converted into mechanical work which may be used for various purposes, where the conversion is performed without emissions of toxic gases, CO or CO.</p> |
