<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting between a shaft and a yoke surely matching phases between the shaft and the yoke, and having a reduced number of parts, and to provide a steering device equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: A part of a pinion shaft 7 supported by a pinion housing 13 protrudes from the pinion housing 13 to form a protruding portion 18. A first yoke 31 with a U-shaped cross-section, including a pair of tabs 33, 34 is co-rotatably connected to the protruding portion 18. The first yoke 31 is a part of a universal coupling 6. A dust cover 50 with an insertion hole 53a into which the protruding portion 18 is inserted, is installed on the pinion housing 13. A positioning projection 54 opposing in the circumferential direction C to front ends 33c, 34c of the pair of the tabs 33, 34 of the first yoke 31 is provided on the dust cover 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
