<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve switching control from dimming lighting to rated lighting in a high pressure discharge lamp lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the high pressure discharge lamp lighting device equipped with an electric power supply circuit to supply electric power to the high pressure discharge lamp, and with the control part to control the output power of the electric power supply circuit by receiving dimming signals, responding to receipt of the dimming signals by the control part that the dimming lighting is switched to the rated lighting, the control part is constituted so that the output electric power or the electric current of the electric power supply circuit is elevated within a prescribed period T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
