<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current drive circuit for improving signal write speed even when a signal current is small and an element driving speed, and a display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A large current flows before inputting the signal current, to perform pre-charge operation. Thereafter, the signal current is input, and a setting operation is performed. Since the pre-charge operation is performed prior to the setting operation, a predetermined potential can be obtained quickly. The predetermined potential is almost equal to the potential after completing the setting operation.
