<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode electrolyte for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell that solves the problem of pricing and the problem of recovery of catalytic metal, has satisfactory proton conductivity, dimensional stability and mechanical characteristics, has satisfactory hot water resistance, heat resistance and cross link resistance at high temperature, has high generated output, and has machinability for the production of an electrode and a membrane electrode assembly (MEA), and to provide an electrode varnish, electrode paste, electrode and membrane electrode assembly including the electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode electrolyte for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes a polyarylene copolymer containing a structural unit having a proton-conductive group which is represented by general formula (1) and containing in a main chain a structural unit having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic structure which is represented by general formula (2), where Ar<SP>31</SP>is a nitrogen-containing heterocycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
