<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wavelength conversion particles, a wavelength conversion member using the same, and a light emitting device for further improving incidence efficiency of excitation light into a phosphor particle and extraction efficiency of converted light from the phosphor particle. <P>SOLUTION: Each of the wavelength conversion particles 7 used for the wavelength conversion member 70 is provided with a moth-eye structural section 74 that has a structure having fine recesses and protrusions on the surface of the phosphor particle 71, and such structure is formed on the phosphor particle 71 itself. The wavelength conversion member 70 is formed by dispersing the wavelength conversion particles 7 in a translucent medium 73 having a refractive index smaller than that of the phosphor particle 71 of the wavelength conversion particle 7, and the wavelength conversion member is provided with, on the surface of the phosphor particle 71, a reflection preventing section 76, which is composed of the moth-eye structural section 74, and the translucent medium 73 entering between tapered fine protrusions 75 of the moth-eye structural section 74. In the light emitting device 1, the wavelength conversion member 70 is used as a color conversion member that converts a part of light emitted from an LED chip 10 into light having a wavelength longer than that of the light emitted from the LED chip and radiates the converted light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
