PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detection device capable of reducing malfunction. SOLUTION: This current detection device 1 includes: a switching part 2 for switching the on/off state of power supplied to a load 90 through an output terminal 15 and the on/off state of a detection current Idet1 supplied through a current detection terminal 16; a current sweeping part 4 connected to the switching part 2 through the current detection terminal 16, for drawing out the detection current Idet1 corresponding to an output current Iout flowing in the load 90; an operation amplifier 3 for controlling a potential of the output terminal 15 and a potential of the current detection terminal 16 to be the same potential; and a monitor current output part 5 for outputting a monitor current Imon2 corresponding to the detection current Idet1. The current sweeping part 4 includes: a negative potential prevention diode 21 wherein an anode terminal 35 is connected to the current detection terminal 16; and a sweeping transistor 22 formed on the same substrate 31 as the negative potential prevention diode 21, wherein a drain terminal 42 is connected to a cathode terminal 34 of the negative potential prevention diode 21.
