PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make failure information including a failure code easy to be used as a determining material of a failure diagnosis of a vehicle, and to further make a failure state of the vehicle easy to be reproduced. SOLUTION: A failure diagnostic device performs the failure diagnosis of the vehicle by communicating with an electronic control device of the vehicle. The failure diagnostic device includes a memory, a display means, a failure information acquisition means for acquiring the number of times of ON of an ignition (IG) switch (the number of operations), the failure code of the vehicle, and traveling time and traveling distance of the vehicle till detection of the failure of the vehicle from ON of the IG switch from the electronic control device of the vehicle and storing them in the memory, and a display control means for making the number of operations, the traveling time and traveling distance when detecting the failure and the failure code which are stored in the memory, associate with each other and making the display means display them as failure information.
