PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner easy to visualize a state such as a floor in an advancing side of a floor suction tool under the gear in a specified position. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a cleaner body having an electric blower disposed inside, a hose 1 of which one end is connected with the body and the other end is provided with a hand-side connection pipe, an extension pipe 5 of which one end is connected with the hand-side connection pipe and the floor suction tool 6 connected with the other end of the extension pipe 5. The tool 6 includes a suction tool body 8 having suction openings 7 on the bottom and in the front and a connection pipe 10 up/down liftably and rotatably connected with the body 8 and connected with the other end of the extension pipe 5. A position of the tool 6 can be changed to a regular one that the bottom of the suction opening 7 faces the floor or to the specified one that the front of the opening 7 faces the floor and the tool 6 in a longitudinal direction rests in an extending direction of the extension pipe 5.
