PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sock having a bending covering portion which has a less fear of generation of wrinkles and hardly goes into a foot bending portion, and free from a fear of deterioration in appearance. SOLUTION: The sock is such that an elastic yarn 95 is arranged on a knitted body 9 including a cylindrical body knitted by a base yarn 91 so as to follow the course stitch line 94 of the knitted body 9, and form a plurality of lines of the elastic yarn 95, at a prescribed distance in the axial direction of the knitted body 9. Further, the ratio of the number of the lines of the elastic yarn 95 to the number in the axial direction of the course stitch line 94 in a bending covering portion 5 is made smaller than the ratio in an ankle covering portion.
