PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a polythiophene by oxidation polymerization utilizing an oxidant in a catalyst amount, a dispersion containing the polythiophene, and a conductive film. SOLUTION: The production method for a polythiophene is performed by subjecting a substituted thiophene such as 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene to oxidation polymerization in the presence of a palladium-based catalyst such as palladium (II) acetate, a copper catalyst such as copper (II) acetate, and oxygen as an oxidant. The dispersion contains the polythiophene, palladium, and an aqueous polysulfonic acid solution. The conductive film is obtained from the dispersion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
