PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inkjet head from being damaged by a jammed recording medium. SOLUTION: A conveyance mechanism 50 is relatively separated from an inkjet head 2 so as to allow a user to perform a process for jamming. After that, when either one of the sensors 71, 72, 41L, 41R, 42L, 42C, 42R, 43L, 43C, 43R, 44L, 44C, 44R, 45L and 45R detects jammed paper P while the conveyance mechanism 50 is relatively brought into close proximity to the inkjet head 2, the conveyance mechanism 50 is prevented from approaching the inkjet head 2.
