PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variations in a state of charge of a battery pack. SOLUTION: The battery pack 10 is constituted of a plurality of blocks B1 to B6. Each of slave units M1 to M6 is provided for each of the blocks to detect a terminal voltage and supply the detected terminal voltage to a master unit 26. Variations are caused in a state of charge among the blocks B1 to B6 for variations in current consumption of the respective slave units M1 to M6. The master unit 26 makes up an operation clock signal for each of the slave units M1 to M6 from a high frequency signal and a low frequency signal. Variations in the charge state among the blocks are prevented by controlling the occurrence ratio of the high frequency signal to the low frequency signal for each of the slave units.
