PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of providing multimedia multicast services in a digital wireless communication network. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method of providing the multimedia multicast services in a digital wireless communication network, the network having a network controller for controlling at least one base station. The method includes the steps of: establishing a single data stream from the network controller to the base station for transmitting multimedia data, by means of a single Iub link or transport bearer; and establishing a separate communication link and a separate data queue for each user equipment, in a radio cell of the base station, which requests the multimedia data.
