PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent that does not only reduce transparency of polycarbonate resins when added to the resins but also does have a good heat resistance, and can give polycarbonate resins an enduring excellent antistatic performance. SOLUTION: The antistatic agent for polycarbonate resins is represented by formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a 1-30C alkyl group; n is a number of 0 or 1; m is a number of 0-10; t is a number of 0 or 2; and X is an alkali metal ion or a specified phosphonium ion when t is 1, but an alkali earth metal ion or a specified phosphonium ion when t is 2).
