PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap adjustment method for an inkjet head for easily and accurately adjusting a gap, so that a head plate on which the inkjet head is mounted has a desired height with respect to a recording medium. SOLUTION: The gap adjustment method for the inkjet head using a gap adjustment tool 101 being the adjustment reference of the gap includes: a tool attachment process for attaching the gap adjustment tool 101 to the head plate 94, in such a state that the head plate 94 is separated from a platen 105 together with the inkjet head 76; a tool butting process for making the head plate 94 closer to the platen 105 together with the inkjet head 76 and butting the gap adjustment tool 101 against the platen 105; and a gap adjustment process for calculating the gap from a separation dimension between the head plate 94 and the platen in the tool butting process, to teach the gap.
