PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding system capable of guiding a guiding object person (especially, a visually handicapped person) to a destination speedily without a confusion by using the sense of smell of the guiding object person. SOLUTION: The guiding system 10 for the visually handicapped person guides the visually handicapped person from a guiding point 102 to an up-escalator landing 101, and includes a smell generating device 11 generating a guiding smellαwhich is a small for guiding, a visually handicapped person detecting device 12 detecting the visually handicapped person, a voice guide device 13 guiding the kind of the guiding smellαin accordance with the up-escalator landing 101 which is the destination by voice, and a control device 30 controlling the smell generating device 11 and the voice guide device 13 based on a detection signal of the visually handicapped person detecting device 12.
