PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet capable of achieving a high cushioning effect and excellent in the heat insulation and sound insulation. SOLUTION: A number of loops 3 are formed of tufted pile yarns 2 penetrating a base fabric 1 along the front surface of the base fabric 1, on the rear surface of a base fabric 1. By bonding the tops of the respective loops 3 with latex 4 to a secondary base fabric 5 spread on a spreading surface to be integrated, the tops of the respective loops 3 are connected by the secondary base fabric 5 and the deformation rigidity is improved, and a high cushioning effect can be achieved by deforming loops in the periphery of a pressed region. Further, by forming a closed space 6 between the upper and lower base fabric 1 and secondary base fabric 5, excellent heat insulation and sound insulation can be acquired.
