PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for linearly connecting rod materials, which can be inexpensively manufactured by simplifying a structure of a member for use, facilitates connecting operations, and has a good appearance. SOLUTION: In this structure 6 for linearly connecting the rod materials, the pair of rod materials 5 and 5 are linearly aligned and connected it. Base pieces 15a are fixed to the opposed ends of both the rod materials 5 and 5 in such a manner that an abutting piece 15b of a connecting member 15 having the abutting piece 15b perpendicularly and continuously provided at one side end of the base piece 15a abuts on one side surface of the opposed end of the other-side opposed rod material 5, respectively; and the base pieces 15a and 15a of both the opposed connecting members 15 and 15 butt against each other, and are tightened with bolts 20 and 20.
