PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack, lighter, more compact and downsized, and with high productivity. SOLUTION: The battery pack includes a battery cell 209 having an electrode terminal formed on its upper surface, and a protection circuit module (PCM) block 203 mounted on the battery cell. One or more connection holes for electrically connecting between the battery cell and the PCM block are punched on the PCM block so as the connection part between the battery cell and the PCM block to be exposed outside of the upper surface of the battery cell. The battery pack is made lighter, more compact and downsized, whereby, electronic equipment using the battery pack is reduced in its size as a whole, and therefore, workability is enhanced with simplified assembling processes, manufacturing cost is reduced through reduction of the number of components, and productivity is enhanced through reduction of the number of operation steps by eliminating additional mounting steps.
