PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a state in an interchangeable lens, in a state similar to that prior to stopping a power supply at a restart of the power supply, while reducing a possibility where a storage means in the interchangeable lens is broken. SOLUTION: In a camera system including a camera body and the interchangeable lens, the interchangeable lens includes a lens that moves along an optical axis; a detection means that detects a state of the lens; a lens-side notifying means that notifies the camera body of state information related to the state detected by the detection means, and the like. The camera body includes a supply means that supplies power to the interchangeable lens; a stopping means that stops the supply of the power by the supply means; a command notifying means that notifies the interchangeable lens of such a power stop previous notice command that the supply of power is stopped by the stopping means; and a storage means that stores information, and the like.
