PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially superior production method quickly producing a monobenzoyl ester compound which is not only a useful drug intermediate raw material but also a starting raw material in synthesizing a monosubstituted derivative of a diol compound under mild conditions near room temperature.
