PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping apparatus capable of reducing a use amount of a wiping member and wiping a nozzle face, and to provide a drawing apparatus equipped with the same, and a wiping method. SOLUTION: The wiping apparatus 120 includes: a yarn-like or string-like wiping member WL; a wiping member feeding mechanism having a delivering part 122 and a winding part 123 for the wiping member WL; and contacting mechanisms 124, 125 and 126 which bring a nozzle face 51a into contact with the wiping member WL pulled out to a specified length by the wiping member feeding mechanism. While the nozzle face 51a is brought into contact with the wiping member WL, the wiping member WL is relatively moved to a delivering head 50 to wipe the nozzle face 51a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
