<p>Disclosed is a display element which has a simple component configuration and can be driven at low voltage, while exhibiting excellent reflectance stability when driven repeatedly. Specifically disclosed is a display element which comprises an electrolyte layer between at least a pair of electrodes facing each other, said electrolyte layer containing a silver salt compound. The display element is characterized in that one of the electrodes, namely the viewing-side electrode has a transparent conductive film and a silver thin film on a substrate and a sealing agent is arranged in a region of the substrate, said region being not provided with the silver thin film.</p> |
