PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a battery for an electric wheelchair facilitating mounting of a power battery on the electric wheelchair, with respect to the power battery for the electric wheelchair inserted into a pocket part of the backrest of the wheelchair. SOLUTION: In the power battery structure for the electric wheelchair, the power battery 50 is shaped in a low-profile rectangular parallelepiped and mounted in the pocket part 40 having an upward opening part 40a with one end face 51 of the low-profile rectangular parallelepiped turned downward, a grip 60 is arranged on one end side 52a on the other end face 52 located upward for gripping the power battery 50 when held, and a connection connector part 70 is arranged on the other end side 52b on the other end face 52 where a power connector 71 coupled with a feeding connector 31 for outputting power from the power battery 50 or a charging connector 72 for charging the power battery 50 is provided.
