The toothbrush has a handle containing a central control system with a control system core (1) connected to a storage battery (8), a source of optical irradiation (3) and an operational data gathering processing and storing unit (2). The source of optical irradiation is provided, where emissive power of the source is up to 0.5 watt and wave length in a range from 380 to 980 nanometers. A lens (4) focuses the optical irradiation emitted by the source of optical irradiation into a prism that reflects an emitted light through a light guide (5) onto a head (6) with a nozzle. The source of optical irradiation is selected from a group comprising high power light sources, single LEDs, LEDs under a matrix-arrangement, halogen light source, laser diode, and laser light source. The toothbrush comprises an insulation element made of a transparent material like polycarbonate (PC) plastic or glass.
