PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature of a coolant-cooled linear motor and the coolant-cooled linear motor, configured to reduce the weight without lowering the thrust force density on the armature side and the generated magnetic field on the field side while maintaining the improved temperature performance of the entire motor.SOLUTION: The linear motor includes the armature 1 having an armature winding 3 fixed on a substrate 2 and a cooling jacket 8 in which a coolant is supplied to an internal space so as to surround the armature winding 3. The cooling jacket 8 has a cylindrical jacket structure constructed by connecting a first cooling jacket 8a, a second cooling jacket 8b, a third cooling jacket 8c and a fourth cooling jacket 8d which surround the armature winding 3, form a face in the direction orthogonal to the traveling direction of the armature 1, and are faced to each other and connected in a cylindrical shape. |
