PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing key which is excellent in durability, operability, and practicality.SOLUTION: The pointing key includes: an operation key top; a surrounding member having a hole for exposing the operation key top on the surface of a case; a support member located at lower parts of the operation key top and the surrounding member and fixing the operation key top at its upper surface and allowing that the operation key top is displaced in a circumferential direction and having an elastic return section capable of restoring its displacement at a location positioned in the vicinity of the operation key top; a ring-shaped magnet member located at a lower part of the support member and located between the operation key top and the elastic return section; a magnetic sensor for detecting variation of magnetic flux density caused by change of the ring-shaped magnet member; and a key top support plate fixed by being fitted between the operation key top and the support member. |
