PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of suppressing the lowering of a nip pressure to a medium to be coated by a coating roller in a roller coating method to carry out desirable liquid coating and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An anilox rocking arm 42 supporting to rock an anilox roller 30 is rocked along a cam curve of an anilox rocking cam 48 around an anilox rocking fulcrum. A rotary shaft of the anilox rocking cam 48 and a rotary shaft of an anilox rocking gear 50 formed integrally with the rotary shaft of the anilox rocking cam 48 are supported by a coating roller rocking arm 38 supporting to rock a coating roller 14. One end of an anilox nip spring 44 generating the nip pressure of the anilox roller 30 to the coating roller 14 is fixed to the anilox rocking arm 42 and the other end is supported by the coating roller rocking arm 38 supporting to rock the coating roller 14. |
