PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower-extremity orthotic capable of changing the neutral swinging angle according to the state of feet during the walking motion.SOLUTION: The lower-extremity orthotic 10 includes a lower-thigh member 12, a foot member 14, a coil spring 22 and an adjusting part 20 capable of changing the neutral swinging angle of the coil spring. The adjusting part 20 changes a neutral swinging angle while the foot member 14 is grounded to a plantar flexion side from a neutral swinging angle while the foot member 14 is not grounded. The lower-extremity orthotic 10 can increase the spring restitutive force applied in the direction of suppressing the swing of the lower thigh (the direction of plantar-flexing the foot) when the lower thigh of an erected leg swings forward around the foot (when the foot is dorsiflexed) by changing the neutral swinging angle to the plantar flexion side. |
