<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay which can suppress collision noise made when the power supply to a coil is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic relay comprises: an electromagnetic block having a coil and a movable contact spring which rocks by a current flowing in the coil; two fixed contact terminals 22 and 22' having fixed contacts 22a and 22a'; a backstop 21 having two movable contact contacting parts 21a and 21a'; and a base block 2 which supports the electromagnetic block, the fixed contact terminals 22 and 22' and the backstop 21. The movable contact spring is formed in a bifurcated shape at its tip and has flanges 14c and 14c' on the respective tips of the bifurcated shape which are extended inwardly so as to be opposed to each other. Movable contacts 14b and 14b' are provided on the respective tips of the bifurcated shape and the two fixed contacts 22a and 22a' are arranged on one side of the rocking direction of the two movable contacts 14b and 14b' so that the fixed contacts 22a and 22a' come into contact with the movable contacts 14b and 14b'.
