<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an online storage system which can effectively utilize free space in storages connected to the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: The online storage system comprises: storage sites 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 for providing storages that can be used by a user via the Internet; storage using terminals 60 and 70 for requesting the storage sites 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 to store files; and a service providing terminal 100 for receiving file data from the storage using terminals 60 and 70, dividing the received data, and adding a parity to each of the divided data to dispersedly store it in storages of the storage sites 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
