FACE CLUSTERING DEVICE, FACE CLUSTERING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently cluster a face image detected from an image sequence.

SOLUTION: This face clustering device is provided, which includes: a face detection part which detects a face included in an image; a face direction detection part which detects a direction of the face detected by the face detection part; a face identification part which detects a face with close features in consideration of the direction of the face detected by the face direction detection part to form a set of pieces of face information expressing the features of the face; a unit group setting part which narrows down the number of pieces of face information to the number preset for every direction of the face based on the direction of the face detected by the face direction detection part to set the set of the respective pieces of face information whose number is narrowed down to a unit group for the set of the respective pieces of face information formed by the face identification part; and a clustering part which executes clustering based on the face information included in the respective unit groups using the unit group set by the unit group setting part.
