MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR OPTICAL FIBER TAPE CORE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an optical fiber tape core with sure adhesive connection between the optical fiber cores which can grant adhesive resin only in between adjacent cores 2 of the optical fiber core from both surfaces of the optical fiber tape core 1.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the optical fiber tape core: has optical fiber cores 11a to 11d which are three or more cores made parallel; intermittent adhesive connections are made only in between two adjacent optical fiber cores; and the adhesive connection portions are separated in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber core not to be adjacent in the parallel direction of the optical fiber core. In this manufacturing method, optical fiber core of three or more cores are fed out to be closely lined up in one vertical row in the vertical direction and at the same time, the optical fiber core of three or more cores is integrated to be tape-like by making intermittent adhesive connections for a prescribed distance of both side surfaces in between the optical fiber core of two cores lined up adjacent to each other on the lower side by a plurality of adhesive means which are arranged separated in the longitudinal direction.
