<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory controller for extending the retention period of the data of a flash memory, and for reducing the erasure frequency of the block of a flash memory, and for extending the lifetime of the flash memory. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic equipment is provided with: a non-volatile storage part for storing data; a power supply part for supplying a power to the storage part and a processor; an update date storage part for storing the update date of data when the above mentioned data are written in the storage part; and a clock part for measuring a date, and configured to, when power supply is stopped by the power supply part, and a difference between the date of the clock part and the date of the update date storage part exceeds a prescribed threshold, write the above mentioned data in the storage part, and to stop the power supply afterwards.
