<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of a lever length. <P>SOLUTION: A connector comprises a housing 10 and a lever 40, which can be attached to the housing 10 so as to straddle on the housing 10, has a gate-like shape, and comprises a coupling part and a pair of arm parts projecting from both ends in the width direction of the coupling part. The housing has a lock reception part 62, and the coupling part of the lever has an elastic lock piece 53. The elastic lock piece elastically engages the lock reception part to retain the lever in the housing.
