<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device (EPS) which has a simple structure and can optimally maintain a wheel base between a worm gear and a wheel gear while suppressing generation of noise. <P>SOLUTION: The EPS includes a shaft coupling 61 to obliquely link and drive a worm gear 26 to an output shaft 48. The shaft coupling 61 includes: a fixing part 71 which is linked to the output shaft 48 to be integrally rotatable; and a cylinder part 72 which has an inner circumferential surface 75 having an almost square-shaped cross section and is fixed to the fixing part 71. Meanwhile, a linking part 81 is formed in a base end part 62 of the worm gear 26, wherein the linking part 81 has an outer circumferential surface 82 which has a non-circular cross section, is inserted into the cylinder part 72 and is engageable with the inner circumferential surface 75 in a circumferential direction. The outer circumferential surface 82 is formed to be convex such that a gap 84, to allow oblique movement of the linking part 81, is provided in the cylinder part 72.
