<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a tubular body with a cover with good productivity, in which the cover having an end face with a superior surface property is formed on a part of an outer circumferential surface of the tubular body with superior adhesiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the tubular body with the cover in which a part of the outer circumferential surface of the tubular body is covered by the cover formed of vulcanized rubber, includes a step of attaching a covering member consisting of non-vulcanized rubber to the tubular body so as to cover at least a part of the outer circumferential surface of the tubular body, a step of attaching an expanded expandable ring to the outer circumference of the covering member, and a step of vulcanizing the covering member by heating the tubular body and the covering member. When vulcanizing the covering member, the expandable ring is contracted close to a surface of the tubular body as the heated covering member is softened, and the covering member is cut to form an end face.
