<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable any humidity change when not in use to be prevented from affecting tape performance and running of a recording tape in a drive device. <P>SOLUTION: A recording tape cartridge 10 comprises a reel 20 having a recording tape T wound around and a reel gear 44 to engage with a drive gear of a drive device on a bottom 28, a resin-made case 12 housing the reel 20 to be rotatable, a gear opening 40 formed on a base plate 16A of the case 12 and causing the reel gear 44 to be exposed to the outside, and a reel regulating member 100 covering at least a part of the gear opening 40 when not in use, so fitted to the gear opening 40 to be detachable as to regulate the displacement of the reel 20 in the axial direction relative to the case 12 and having a function to control humidity within the case 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
