<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate temperature of a sheet by arranging a heating part for heating the sheet without arranging a temperature detection part for detecting the temperature of the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes paper feed cassettes 461a, 461b, 461c; thermal insulation heaters 612a, 612b, 612c, 13 for heating the sheets to be stored in a paper feed device 10; an in-apparatus temperature detection part 82 for detecting in-apparatus temperature; an external temperature detection part 81; and a temperature estimation part 106 for estimating that the temperature of the sheets is equal to external temperature or the in-apparatus temperature in a case where a temperature difference between an inside and an outside, being a difference between the in-apparatus temperature and the external temperature, is substantially zero when a power source of the self apparatus is turned on, and also estimating the temperature of the sheets by adding a first addition value A to the external temperature when the temperature difference between an inside and an outside is not substantially zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
