<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify processing in the replacement of a discharge head. <P>SOLUTION: IC chips 27a-27c for storing the impact position information and discharge amount information are provided at each of printheads 26a-26c. When receiving a print job, print data is created by reflecting the impact position information and the discharge amount information stored in the IC chips 27a-27c.
