SYSTEM FOR DECONTAMINATION OF CYANIDE-CONTAMINATED SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for decontamination of cyanide-contaminated soil which can effectively remove cyan from cyanide-contaminate soil and reduce the amount of soil which is disposed of.

SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for decontamination of cyanide-contaminated soil which separates cyan from the cyanide-contaminated soil to obtain clean soil at least includes: a sieve device 4 to which cyanide-contaminated soil is loaded and has sieves 1 and 2 for separating coarse soil S1 and S2 and fine soil S3; and a cleaning solution supplying device 9 which contains cleaning solution CS of inorganic iron compound and inorganic copper compound dissolved in a solvent and supplies the solution to at least one of the sieves 1 and 2. An insoluble salt produced from a component of the cleaning solution and cyan in the cyanide-contaminated soil on each of the sieves 1 and 2 is washed away to obtain clean soil on each of the sieves 1 and 2.
