An ostomy appliance (10) comprising an ostomy pouch (12) and an adhesive body fitment (14) is disclosed. The pouch (12) has an internal space with which a stomal aperture (22) and a closable opening (36) communicate. The adhesive body fitment (14) is attached to the pouch (12) along a region of the permanent attachment that extends entirely around the stomal aperture (22). As such, the body fitment (14) is permanently sealed to the pouch (12) all around the stoma aperture (22). The body fitment (14) has an adhesive body-facing surface (26) and a non-body-facing surface (28). The adhesive (24) of the body fitment (14) has a moldable region (24a) that is integral with a constrained region (24 b). The adhesive (24) has a more constrained shape in the constrained region (24 b) than in the moldable region (24 a). The closable opening (36) of the pouch (12) provides the access to the non-body-facing side (28) of the adhesive (24) through the pouch interior for molding the moldable region (24 a) of the adhesive (24).
