Disclosed is a crystalline polymorph Form of (E)-2-{ 2-[6-(2-cyanophenoxy) pyrimidin-4-yloxy]phenyl} -3-methoxyacrylate for combating fungus in a plant. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of a crystalline polymorph Form of 3(E)-2-{ 2-[6-(2-cyanophenoxy)pyrimidin-4-yloxy] phenyl} -3-methoxyacrylate, the process comprising the steps of crystallizing said compound from a solvent mixture comprising water and an organic solvent selected from the group consisting of an alcohol, and an amide.
