The method involves adjusting flow of fuel by controlling a position of a metering valve to a function set point position (pdc) of desired fuel mass flow (dmc). The setpoint position of the metering valve is corrected based on difference between a measurement value (dmm) representing effective fuel mass flow and a setpoint (dmc') representing the desired fuel mass flow. The measurement value is provided by a mass flowmeter. The setpoint is determined from the value of the desired fuel mass flow. An independent claim is also included for a device for regulating flow of fuel to be injected into a combustion chamber of a turbomachine, comprising a metering valve.
