PURPOSE: A book subscription and alarming service using a mobile phone is provided to enable a user to receive various information through the mobile phone. CONSTITUTION: If a library service request signal is received through a communication network from a mobile phone, a library supporting server(2) and a main server(3) offer a library service menu to the mobile phone. The library supporting server processes service items which are received from the mobile phone. The library supporting server offers the result of the process to the mobile phone. Database stores information of the registered members and service information corresponding to each menu.
